1. What we collect
When you sign in with GitHub, we receive your GitHub username, display name, email address, and profile picture. We also store the GitHub repositories you connect to Releaseink, the pull request data we read to generate changelogs, and the changelogs you create and publish.
2. How we use your data
We use your data solely to provide the Releaseink service — authenticating you, reading your merged pull requests to generate release notes via Claude AI, and hosting your public changelog pages. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
3. GitHub access
Releaseink uses GitHub OAuth to authenticate you and read pull request data from repos you explicitly connect. We request read-only access to your repositories. We never write to your repos or access private repos you have not connected.
4. AI processing
Pull request titles, descriptions, and metadata from your connected repos are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate changelog drafts. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy.
5. Public changelogs
When you publish a changelog, it becomes publicly accessible at your changelog URL. Unpublished changelogs are only visible to you. You can unpublish or delete changelogs at any time from your dashboard.
6. Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or billing details. Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by their privacy policy.
7. Data retention
We retain your account and changelog data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.
8. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
